The mission of Moving with Dani is to hold intentional, thoughtful, diverse community healing spaces centered around practices of emotional wellness and physical embodiment.
Dani Fishman has over a decade of experience working in spaces of mental health and education. She studied Sociology and Ethnic Studies at UC Berkeley and holds a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco. Dani has served a school based mental health counselor, a prisoner reentry counselor, and as an equity focused coach and workshop facilitator for educators and community members across the Bay Area and the nation.
For much of her early life Dani suffered from chronic back pain and a debilitating anxiety disorder stemming from personal experiences of physical and emotional trauma. With much dedication, Dani cultivated a new and healthy relationship with her body and mind through the adoption of a daily yoga practice, emotional wellness routine, and the mentorship of some incredible Bay Area healers.
Now, as a graduate of a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training focused on trauma recovery through movement, Dani is committed to utilizing her training and experience to bring self love and healing to individuals and communities in most need of these tools. Thus, Moving with Dani was born.
